만약 네가 얼굴을 들 수 있다면

너에 대한 모든 것을 잃거나 그 사실로 비난받을 때;

만약 모든 사람들이 너를 의심할 때에도 네 스스로 진실할 수 있다면,

그러나 그들의 지나친 의심조차 받아들이는:

만약 네가 기다릴 수 있고 기다림에 의해 지치지 않는다면,

혹은, 거짓되거나 거짓들과 타협하지 않고,

또한 미움받은 것을 미워함으로 되돌려 주지 않고,

그러함에도 너무 착해 보이려거나 고지식하게 말하지 않고;

만약 네가 꿈꿀 수 있다면 – 그리고 꿈들을 네 주인으로 만들지 않는다면;

만약 네가 생각할 수 있다면 – 그리고 생각들을 너의 목표로 만들지 않는다면,

바보들을 속이려는 악당들에 의해 왜곡된,

If you can keep your head when all about you

Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
