거룩한 신이여, 저는 부(富)를 뜻하지 않는 것을 당신에게 묻습니다

스스로를 실망시키지 않을 만큼,

높이 날아오를 수 있는 제 행동 속 그것

제가 지금 이 맑은 눈으로 깨달을 수 있는 것처럼.

그리고 다음으로 값진, 당신이 빌려준 친절들,

제 벗들을 크게 실망시킬지 모르는 것,

그들이 어떻게 생각하거나 바랄지는 의문이지만,

당신이 저를 어떻게 바라보는지 그들은 떠올리지 않을 것입니다.

제 굳은 신념과 같을 제 가냘픈 손

그리고 제 혀가 말하는 것을 행할 제 삶

드러나지 않을 제 겸손한 행동

또한 제 측은한 구절들

제가 알지 못했던 당신의 의도들

또는 부풀려진 당신의 계획들.
